Ruth's Cowgirl Birthday!

Our little Ruthie-Toothie turned 8 this week!! Amazing that she is getting to be such a big girl! She has grown so helpful, become another "little mother" in the family, and is one of the smartest little people I know. :)

Ruth requested a cowgirl party, so we obliged with a cookout fit for the range.  BBQ chicken and ribs, sweet beans, and cornbread.  We threw in some "cowboy chips" for good measure. ;)  And, what cowgirl cookout would be complete without the pink lemonade? ;)

Miss Ruthie enjoyed a special day and sleep over at Grandma's house the day before her birthday. What fun to go shopping and have Grandma and Papa all to herself.  We celebrated with the whole fam the next day.  Cookout, presents, and cake for a special, sweet girl.

A beautiful reversible apron hand made by big sis, Elizabeth...

Ruth made everyone crazy with suspense when she wouldn't reveal the mystery lego minfigure and made everyone guess!!

And a yummy, pretty cake for the birthday girl who is now old enough to cut it herself. ;)

We are so grateful for you, Ruth! Watching you grow and become such a strong and loving girl delights our hearts.  We pray this year will be rich with blessings and favor from the Lord!
