Renovation Update #10

We've slowed down on house renovations this year.  Yet, we are thrilled to have the second bathroom in this house finished!

When starting out, it was basically the second toilet we wanted to keep the line for the potty to a manageable size and that was all. Even the sink wasn't in working order.  Sitting on that stool, however, wasn't easy, especially if you have grown-up sized legs.

We have some plans to enlarge the shower in this bathroom, but, for now, we just wanted to get it clean and a bit easier to move around in.

Changing the plumbing was the biggest challenge.  We moved the commode from one wall to another, allowing one to use it without their knees leaving imprints.

 

David also put in a new sink, also requiring a bit of plumbing.  We found the smallest one in stock, giving a few more inches here and there in our cozy little powder room.

After that, we used up the rest of the vinyl leftover from other renovations for the floor. We added some paint, shelves, curtain, the mirror that came with the room, and the most adorable towel and paper holder ever. 

 

So, the beach theme is just getting started in this room. We've got more ideas and I can't wait to fill those shelves with our treasures and collections from the shore. 

Cute or what?!

I know it's small, but seeing this room just fills me with joy.  I think of all the hard work David and the family have done to bring this dear old house to beauty and life.  It's a lesson of the Lord's grace and mercy as He does the same with our lives.
