A Visit with Nana

My mom traveled in from California this month to stay for 10 days.  We were so excited to have her visit. It had been about 2 years since she had been here and her first time meeting Baby Kindy.

So, we all got busy tidying the house and preparing a room especially for Nana.  Everyone pitched in giving beds, mattresses, bedding, pillows, décor, and furniture to create the perfect place of respite in our otherwise loud and crazy household.

We spent our days busy with normal chores and activities, only they were way more fun with my mom there to help with the work and keep up company.  Of course, taking the time off from school was a huge bonus!

Ruth liked showing Nana the jewelry she makes.

We were treated to several meals out with Nana.  The girls were busy making paper airplanes for Nana to take home as souvenirs.

We kept my mom VERY busy chopping, washing, and cooking in the kitchen.  That's the busiest place in the whole house!

But we took plenty of coffee breaks. :)

Saying goodbye is ALWAYS the hardest part.  *sniff*

Ruth made a quilted pillow for Nana to take home with her. So sweet!

We pray her time with us was a true blessing.  We pray the next visit will be soon.  I'm so grateful for the time we had together and the time the children had to spend with their Nana.  They are blessed to have such a lady love them so dearly.

"For what thanks can we render to God for you in return for all the joy with which we rejoice before our God on your account, "
1 Thessalonians 3:9

Just precious Tracy! We were praying things went well, and it looks like they surely did! What a blessing!
