Feeling Springy

While we did work hard to button up the schoolin' for the year, as spring SLOWLY began to show itself, we were eager to get out and enjoy it.

Oh, how we've CRAVED the warmth of spring this year. It seems like the season wants to tease us and winter won't quite let go.  When the temps warm up for a day or two, we quickly head outside to work on lessons and soak up the vitamin D.

Of course we made sure to plan in a trip or two to the playground to celebrate the arrival of birds and buds and all things bright and beautiful.

David and the children took some time to start some seeds indoors.  We all worked together to rework our garden for this year.  We got rid of the raised beds so we could till out a larger area in hopes of a bigger harvest of vegetables.

We also ventured out for our first hike of the year on a local trail in Farmington.  We all enjoy this hike, as the stream is beautiful and fun to splash in.  Of course, checking for ticks is a must after any hike.
