House Renovation #8

We have made a bit of progress on the house, though it's a slow process.  Here are a few pics of some of the finishing touches we've been able to do around the house.

A family photo wall in progress in our upstairs hallway.

The finished kitchen in use (but cleaned up for pics. ;) )

My lovely tin backsplash installed by my sweetie. I love how it ties the dining room and kitchen together. So bright and pretty!
My bluebird of happiness gifted to me by my sweet Great-Grandma Dolly.

And one of my favorite treasures...the tin ceiling has been saved!! Hooray for David. He did a wonderful work!

Our master bedroom turned out so sweet and cozy...

...curtains for the closet. Doors took up a little too much space...

One of my favorite features of this old house, the grates for the heating ducts....

 A favorite print of mine...

Special treasures I've collected over the years...
Our sweet escape. :)

Last for this post is our family room. We still have some painting to do and we've already moved furniture around since this photo was taken. We sure do love this room, though. I especially love when we gather for family worship. Many sweet memories to come in our own Keeping Room.

The letters above were crocheted by my mother for our home. They are so special to me. I'm so glad to have a lovely place to display them in this house. (still need to develop some photos for the frames, though.)

I love the prints above the desk. We pulled them out of a damaged antique book to frame.

Baby Kindy ~ Four Months Old

Sweet little Kindred Promise continues to melt my heart. She's growing, smiling, giggling, and clinging to Momma more and more every day. While I enjoy being hands-free having a squishy, yummy baby in my arms isn't such a bad problem to have. ;)

Those little fingers are very tempting. She hasn't decided if she prefers those like her big sis, Honoree', or her thumb, like one of her big brothers. ;)

That smile and sweet giggle gets me through the days and a few long-ish nights. (though those are few and far between now, thankfully. ;) )

Susannah has *always* been Kindy's biggest fan. From the moment Susannah heard I was pregnant, she had a kiss and hug for Baby Kindy at least once a day (but usually much more). She loves this little baby girl more than I've ever seen anyone love on someone.  So very sweet.

Kindy really enjoys playing in her little rain forest. I found this great play yard at a yard sale for $5. It's so sweet and plays the most soothing music and sounds of a real rain forest. Confession: sometimes I turn it on just to hear the sound of rain falling. Very relaxing. :)

Precious booties made with love by a dear, far-away friend. This same friend sent little cowboy booties for Honoree' when she was about this size. I love, love, love baby booties. :)

Sister Love.  They are so adorable together. I love to soak it in.

Innauguration Day

Celebrating David's Innauguration to the State of NH Board of Accounting. What a special event for us all!  David even whisked me away for the afternoon to go shopping for the perfect outfit. I felt a little like Cinderella going to the ball. :)

Three generations of Menard men celebrating together. Such a blessing.

We are so proud of our guy. It was a challenging year, but we are so thrilled to see all the Lord did in and through you, David. We love you!
