Pass the Soda!

We were invited by some good friends to join them on a field trip this week to the Squamscot Old Fashioned Beverage Company in Newfields, NH.  We had a great time listening to the history and process behind bottling this one of a kind drink.

Meet "Dixie". She was purchased in 1938 and is still going strong!

I was surprised to learn that their 30 flavors are distributed all the way to California! After our "tour" of the little processing shop, we had a chance to ask questions, observe the bottling process, and sample the flavor of the day, Orange Soda. All of their flavors are sweetened with cane sugar with the exception of the diet sodas. 

You can even have custom labels made for a special gift. 

At the end of our visit, we had fun rumaging through the boxes customizing our own case of sodas to take home. Then we headed back to our house for a cookout with friends, enjoying our Old Fashioned Beverages of choice.
