The Hoover Dam

This was another one of our famous Drive-By Tours, but we glad we did it. No matter how short the stop, a view of and drive over the Hoover Dam is impressive, to say the least. A bit of history helped us understand just how valuable the construction of this amazing site was to the progress of the city of Las Vegas, never mind the surrounding states and country as a whole. It was interesting for us to note that the same year the Hoover Dam was completed was the same year gambling was legalized in Nevada. Interesting coincidence.
