Last Day as a Family of Eight Celebration

This last month of my pregnancy brought a lot of challenges and prayer. With my diagnosis of GD, I was battling many obstacles. One was the possibility of a hospital birth. After working and praying as diligently as possible, we were ready to surrender our plans for our homebirth.

The morning before our scheduled induction, the Lord worked in my heart to give me the comfort and peace I needed to surrender to His plans, committed that He would receive all the honor and glory regarding this experience. Through that, we decided we needed to surrender to the Blessings He had for us in it as well.

One of those blessings was actually knowing WHEN this baby would be born. Since we knew the day, we could celebrate our final day as a Family of Eight and all of the joys that have come through that. After our overnight bags were packed for the hospital visit, we loaded up the camper and headed for a day of picnicking, hiking and fun in the mountains. It was a wonderful, relaxing time together.

Thank you, Lord, for the Blessings you bring in our trials.
