Saute celery, onion and garlic in butter. (onion & garlic have anitbacterial and antibiotic properties)
Add 20 cups water with 6 chicken boullion cubes/or broth equivalent (liquid flushes out the system, strengthens cells and prevents dehydration)
2 thinly sliced carrots (Vit A, revitalizes the blood, strengthens the liver which removes toxins)
1 cup lentils (lower cholestorol, manage blood sugar levels, high folate and magnesium, iron)
1 cup brown rice (B-complex vitamins, minerals, iron, phosphorus, and potassium)
Bring to boil and let simmer for 40-60 minutes (heat soothes a sore throat and clears the sinues passages)
Add 1-2 small, diced summer squash (Vit A & C, iron and calcium)
Add 1 chicken breast, cooked & diced (low-fat protein)
Add 1 large can diced tomatoes (Vit C)
Seasonings:
Parsley (Vit C & A, beta-carotene all acting as antioxidants)
Oregano (antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant, Vit K)
Basil (antibacterial, anti-inflamatory, Vit A, beta-carotene
Bay leaves (antibacterial, antifungal)
Black pepper (antibacterial, antioxidant, improves digestion)
It's amazing to see how the Lord created foods to equip our bodies for health and healing! We will be enjoying our homemade soup even more now that we know how powerful it really is!
