Elizabeth turns 15 - In her own words

My birthday this year was the craziest one yet! We had so much to do before and after it that it was hard to fit the birthday in! On the fifth our family went to a prairie day with some of the other homeschooling families we know. Followed by a get-together at my sewing teacher's house to show the projects that we worked on during the summer. The next day we met some of our best friends at an apple orchard where their mother us helped get some beautiful family and children pictures; after which we went through a small nature museum together. Saturday night, Sunday, and Monday morning were spent at my papa and grandma's house, during which time I finally learned how to crochet!

Lastly, my family came to get me from my grandparents house and we went home to celebrate my surprise birthday dinner of stuffed manacoti, salad, and apple turn-overs for dessert. After dinner I opened presents, raked leaves, and helped with a campfire in our backyard. Finally, here are the pictures.............

This is Ruth's adorable card, signed by all the little girls.

Benjamin helped Verity make this sign; when she gave it to me she asked me what it said!
Ruth made a family of yarn dolls.....

Benjamin wood burned a plaque with Matthew 28:17 on it.....

Joshua gave me a pretty shelf, for the rest of my aprons, which he is going to stain the same color as my hope chest.
And Mother and Father gave me a box of bulbs, which I planted yesterday, and the Encyclopedia of Country Living.
So that is my crazy birthday. Enjoy!
