Colorado Springs

David attended the HSLDA (Homeschool Legal Defense Association) Leaders Conference in Colorado Springs. He was greatly encouraged by the workshops and speakers. The opening festivities of the conference were held at the Flying W Ranch. I tell ya', it was the highlight of the trip for the children. They were so excited to see "where the cowboys live" and they weren't disappointed! We enjoyed an amazing barbeque dinner and a fantastic performance by the Flying W Wranglers. We laughed, sang and had such a great evening. We were blessed with front row seats! The fiddle playing was everyone's favorite and the children haven't stopped singing the Cowboy songs or telling the Cowboy jokes since we left. It was a great memory for us all!

Another event sponsored by the convention was a tour of the ministry headquarters for Focus on the Family. Of course, we all enjoyed a visit to the Land of Odyssey. For those who aren't familiar with it, it is a children's radio program broadcast by the ministry.
