First Few Stops

Our family is enjoying a great Cross Country Road Trip. Our first night found us at a state park in upstate New York. The beautiful breezes coming off the lake were so refreshing after a day of packing and driving.
I didn't get photos at our next few stops. We enjoyed another lovely state park on Lake Erie in Ohio and then found a quick little overnite KOA in Illinois.  Our drive through the midwest has been relaxing, if you can believe it.  The land is so open, and the sky seems so large. It's like looking out at the ocean, only it's the amber waves of grain. The gorgeous patterns and colors of the farms and fields are so beautiful to look at. We saw amazing clusters of huge windmills today as well. We were all impressed with the size and how they transformed the landscape.
Tonite we are enjoying our favorite stop yet. We found a lovely state park in Nebraska. The campsite is huge and right on a lake. The boys had a great time fishing and we all enjoyed a refreshing walk around the park. It's so beautiful here with the rolling hills, river and wide open spaces. We're so blessed to see the variety of land the Lord created in this great country.

Thanks, Tanya! We saw the windmills last year in Texas on our trip, but they still amaze us!
