Our Twelve Days of Christmas

I wanted to try something a little different with our Christmas celebration this year. We've always enjoyed the season of Advent, counting down to Christmas Day when we celebrate Jesus' birthday opening gifts. Then we wrap up our Christmas season with our Three Kings Night on the night if the Epiphany. The days between Christmas and Epiphany are often a little lost, though. And with the call to make this Christmas a time for a Special Kind of Worship, I went hunting for something unique to do.  I found a neat lapbooking project that helped us learn more about various aspects of our faith, the bible, and the life of Christ. Warning: This post is PIC HEAVY. :)

 



 

Each day, after helping the younger ones complete their varying folds for their lapbooks, Elizabeth and I worked on some quilt squares. We haven't finished them all, and I need to get a few more photos of the ones that are done, but here's a sneak peek...

 

 

 

We enjoyed our traditional Three Kings' Night pageant this year on the 12th Day of Christmas and opened our stocking gifts.

Another year of a Special Kind of Worship helping us focus on the power and miracle of the life of Christ. May we always remember that his birth only holds meaning when it is attached to his death and resurrection. What a mighty Savior we serve!
